Atarashii sekai (New World)

Japan has been a really great experience for my last year. The people are so nice and accommodating. They really love gaijins. They get all big-eyed and excited when I say I’m from New York. My hosutofamirii is great too. Okaasan works at home, teaching English to kids, and Otoosan teaches science at a daigaku. They have two daughters around our age, Aki and Yoshie. The food is awesome too. So far my favorites are gyoza and tempura. It’s been so great here, but I am also looking forward to next year.

gaijins = foreigners
hosutoffamirii = host family
okaasan – mother
otoosan = father
